A tiny note on writing about nature…

Spring is finally here! Yes, it is late. June came and spring decided to come today together with June. I am afraid we are going through a serious shift climate wise. I could finally have a proper walk and took some pics. I also love cold and rain but during spring, we want to see sunshine, right??

Sometimes, people ask me. Do you have a specific reason for writing about nature? The answer is yes and no! First of all, one thing is quite clear: I love our planet Earth and I am a big advocate of protecting it. I love nature and green, and blue, and all the beautiful things our mother Earth provides us. So, writing stories about nature makes me feel comfortable and happy. However, I never started to write a story by planning it. I mean, it is not like I told to myself to write about nature and started by planning it. No, story ideas of Hayli and Atlas just popped up in my mind during walking or drinking tea. I felt it and I started writing. After the original idea shapes in my mind, of course I plan the rest and do an extensive research on topics that I do not know: for instance on what ladybugs feed or how they protect themselves or what the wild horse species are, etc. but they all start after the original idea pops up in my mind. Also RGB colors… I have been teaching this topic for years in my university and one day I woke up and felt the urge to shape the topic for kids.

But one thing is certain: I love writing about nature and animals.
